    FAR 135/91 Director of Operations (Rotor) – St Louis, MO https://lnkd.in/e4QZ_zqM Job Description: The Director of Operations is responsible for maintaining operational control of the Company’s flight personnel and aircraft to ensure safety and efficiency. The Director of Operations reports to the President. The DO’s additional duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: Responsible for ensuring the Company has complete, effective, and sustainable operational control over its flight management personnel, crew members, and aircraft and that no surrender or loss of operational control occurs. Maintains the currency and integrity of the Company’s operations and training manuals and ensures appropriate and timely distribution of these documents and related revisions as required. Directs and executes the Company’s flight operations and all pilot training programs to ensure that all written flight standards, policies, training requirements, and operating procedures are always followed in compliance with FAA standards and regulations. Conducts interviews with operations personnel, hires, and discharges as required, and establishes personnel duty hours. Responsible for notification of overdue aircraft and aircraft accident notification as outlined in 49 CFR, Part 830. Maintains close liaison with the Director of Maintenance to ascertain the status of aircraft and forecast downtime. Ensures a complete report is sent within ten (10) days to the nearest FAA Flight Standards District Office in the event of an emergency involving the safety of passengers that requires a Company pilot to deviate from the Federal Aviation Regulations. Job Requirements: Expert knowledge of FAA regulations regarding Part 91 and Part 135 commercial and charter operations. Thorough knowledge of the contents of Part 135 documentation, including the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Training Program, and HazMat Program. Skill in managing multiple priorities while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. Must have at least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted under Part 135 or otherwise meet the specifications as outlined in 14 CFR 119.71. Previous Director of Operations or Chief Pilot experience is preferred but not required. Hold a commercial helicopter pilot certificate with an instrument rating. Have a minimum of 2,000 helicopter flight hours as Pilot in Command, including 500 turbine helicopter flight hours.
