With the exception of the controller, this UL 508A Listed assembly consisted of All Eaton/Bussmann components including HMI, VFDs, switches, light indication, and motor controls. This assembly is for a power product test line in East Texas to include reversing conveyor with 4 start/stop checkpoints for quality check. The end of line will feed a new automated transfer cart system to be installed in 2025. This month, the Auto Sol team performed a PLC5 migration to CompactLogix for a long standing customer in the Carolina’s. The project included a new transfer cart with all new electrical and new SICK DT80 long range laser sensor for ensuring proper alignment for incoming/outgoing loads. #automation #solutions #controls #plc #programming #electrical #install

This week, our team has been implementing an automated container fill system in the great state of Georgia! Read more on this project below👇🏻 The system includes conveyor where forklift operator unloads empty containers at start of line and advances to a load cell where an air actuated blade stop is used to prevent drift into succeeding zone. Containers are then justified to conveyor guide rail via SMC pneumatic pusher to align fill port with above actuator. A Keyence LR-T laser sensor is used for detecting cap presence/absence. If fill port is accessible, a linear slide table is used to actuate piping downward 6” into container. Reed switches are used to detect when fully extended. Once in position, fill cycle may begin by opening newly installed automated valve. Auto Sol PLC monitors fill weight over Ethernet/IP and reroutes fluid to a smaller pipe via second valve once we approach target weight. Once fill cycle is deemed complete, valves close and a time delay allows for excess to drain. Full containers then advance to end of line for picking. Cannot put into words the endurance from our team, fighting through harsh adverse conditions and finding a way to make all the pieces fit. The end result is always satisfying.
