We’re thrilled to announce our first documentary, “Me Period”! At our recent premiere in Atlanta, we screened the film, which explores discussions on puberty and menstruation featuring everyday families, and includes cameos from Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tabitha Brown, and their daughters. Post-screening, a live panel discussion was hosted by Egypt Sherrod, featuring Charis Chambers, MD, the films director Lisa Cunningham, and BWHI President Linda Goler Blount, MPH. The session prompted the audience to share personal stories, highlighting the film’s influence on promoting open and crucial health conversations. We’re also excited to announce that “Me Period” has been selected for the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival and Essence Film Festival!
