Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County is installing 300 roof mount solar panels to reduce utility energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. These plans are a critical step in our pledge to reduce environmental and climate impacts. The installation is part of the organization’s long-term commitment to renewable electricity and climate impacts and is the second of two phases at Aurora Sheboygan County. The solar panels will result in an annual reduction in greenhouse gases and ultimately redirect from utility bill expenses to the primary mission of providing exceptional patient care. “We’re committed to increasing sustainability and conserving natural resources for our communities today as well as for future generations as part of our commitment to helping people live well, and I am proud Aurora Sheboygan County is helping to set that precedent,” said Aric Kinney, Aurora Sheboygan County President. This installation will be completed by winter 2024. When finalized, Aurora Sheboygan County will have more than 520 panels. Learn more with the Sheboygan Sun : https://bit.ly/3zKPgQH

As an interventional pain management specialist, Dr. Alexandra Lelchuk designs treatment plans to help patients dealing with a variety of painful conditions. Her custom plans may include injections, minimally invasive procedures, medications, physician therapy, behavior modalities and more. “Chronic pain is debilitating and can affect all aspects of one’s life. Helping people live a dynamic and pain-free life brings me great satisfaction as a doctor,” she said. She recalls one of her favorite days at work was seeing a patient who was walker-dependent come in for a follow-up appointment without any mobility devices. “It’s nice to see people get back to doing what they love.”

We wrapped up Summerfest 2024 with a very special patient experience! Luis born with a bicuspid aortic valve and has been getting routine check ups throughout his life. Last year, he was diagnosed with an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which was followed by open-heart surgery a couple days after Christmas where he received a mechanical valve and a new aorta. Luis is now finished with his cardiac rehab and is working on the next phase of getting his strength back. Luis, along with his family, got the ultimate VIP experience thanks to our partnership with Summerfest. The nigh remember included a meet and greet with Maroon 5 and tickets to their show. We’re already counting down the days until next year! 🤘🎸🎵
