“I think children are the best patients. I love their curiosity and I enjoy using that quality to help children be engaged and empowered when it comes to their health. It is extremely rewarding to help their families care for them, and to get to watch them grow.” -Courtney Green, a pediatric nurse practitioner at Atrium Health Levine Children's Shelby Children's Clinic, on why she enjoys working with kids.

🩺Why did you decide to become a provider? I love science and learning how things work. The medical field provided the perfect way to combine that interest with direct human interaction.
🌱What are your clinical interests? I love helping children establish healthy habits from a young age.
🤝What are you looking forward to the most in your new role? I am excited about developing meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
🫶What advice would you offer new patients? Please know that we are here to help you. We are committed to developing a meaningful patient-provider relationship that allows us to learn your child’s unique needs so we can provide the best care possible.
📚👩🍳😼How do you like to spend your free time? I enjoy reading historical fiction and thrillers, baking, being outdoors, and taking weekend road trips. I also like spending time with my cat Winnie, the sweetest little “grumpy cat.”
🚀If you could choose any superpower, what would it be? I would love to be able to teleport. I would use my powers to travel to another country at any time, or just be able to skip the commute to work!
Thanks for sharing, Courtney! We can’t wait for patients and families to meet you and experience your passion for pediatrics firsthand. 💖
