Today is #NationalInternDay! We celebrate the visionaries who bring new ideas and energy to our team. Get to know one of our interns, Federico, who has wanted to become an engineer his whole life. His biggest lesson learned from his internship at Atlantic City Electric is to “Keep an open mind and be a life-long learner. The energy industry demands you to have a broad set of skills that if maintain your eyes and ears open, you will learn them quick.”

We had over 50 volunteers who supported the Gilda's Club of South Jersey Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Lenape! Despite our dragon boat teams not qualifying for medals, they achieved first and second place in their heats. We extend our gratitude to AARG PHI for partnering with NEW ACE for the second consecutive year. Events like these highlight our commitment to community engagement and teamwork.

On Lineworker Appreciation Day, we celebrate the men and women who play a pivotal role in providing safe and reliable energy service across South Jersey. We are incredibly proud of our employees who operate and maintain the local energy grid and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Their dedication, even in challenging conditions and during weekends and holidays, ensures our customers always have the power they need. #LineworkerAppreciationDay #ThankALineworker

During Welcome Day for this year’s SPARK interns, local students met withdepartment leaders, spoke with previous program members and toured our command center and indoor substation. As SPARK participants, students receive advanced STEM education through hands-on learning and mentorship from our employees. They also get the chance to explore their interest in STEM fields and develop professional skills, opening pathways into the energy field at a young age and helping shape the next generation of leaders.

Our Eco Team recently participated in a volunteer event with ReClam the Bay to safeguard our coastal waters. During the event, our volunteers cleaned and bagged shells, which will be used in upwells to create habitats for oysters and clams. This contributes to enhancing water quality and securing shorelines in Barnegat Bay. #HabitatRestoration #MarineConservation #EcoFriendly

We're proud to support South Jersey municipalities through the Sustainable Communities Grant Program. Since 2020, we've invested $310,000 in sustainability projects that enhance community resilience and environmental stewardship. The Elsinboro Township Fire Department utilized their 2021 grant to purchase a utility terrain vehicle, improving emergency response capabilities in rural and riverfront areas. Check out our video to see the program's impact firsthand, and learn more about the program and the application process: https://lnkd.in/eaJgF4Qi #Sustainability
