Atlanta Track Club is a non-profit organization committed to creating an active and healthy Atlanta.

About us

Atlanta Track Club is a nonprofit organization established to inspire and engage the community to achieve health and fitness through running. With more than 27,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second largest running organization in the United States. In addition to the AJC Peachtree Road Race – the largest 10K running event in the world - the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and the Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, Atlanta Track Club directs more than 40 events per year. Through the support of its members and volunteers, Atlanta Track Club also maintains a number of community initiatives including organizing and promoting the Kilometer Kids youth running program to metro Atlanta youth, honoring high school cross country and track and field athletes through Atlanta Track Club’s All-Metro Banquets and supporting the Grady Bicycle EMT program.     From a young age, Katherine Stanfill's devotion to running and fitness has guided her through life's journeys. Today, as a dedicated public health professional and active member of Atlanta Track Club, she channels this passion both in her career and as a committed runner. On November 3, Katherine will embark on a remarkable challenge by participating in the TCS New York City Marathon, all while raising funds for the Kilometer Kids program – Atlanta Track Club's free youth running program for children in grades K-5. Her mission extends beyond the race; she aspires to motivate and inspire children and adults through fundraising and fitness efforts.     In addition to the exciting announcement of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race taking place on January 4th, we also announced important updates on the July 4th AJC Peachtree Road Race at last night's Town Hall ‼️ If you weren't able to make it, here's a quick recap 👇 🍑 Announced a few months ago, the Peachtree's lottery is COMING BACK! Atlanta Track Club members, participants of the future Polar Opposite Peachtree, and those who signed up during the early registration period back in July will receive guaranteed entry. 📅 MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Registration for the Peachtree will take place on April 1-30, 2025. During this time, anyone can register for the lottery and will be notified in early May if they were selected or not. We also announced our 2025 event calendar with tons of other exciting updates!     JANUARY 4TH: TAKE YOUR PEACHTREE TO A NEW LEVEL… IN REVERSE ❄️ We’re excited to announce a brand new event taking place in early 2025: the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race! 🎉 Experience the race like never before - in the winter and in reverse. Starting at Piedmont Park and finishing at Lenox Square, there is no left on 10th - you’ll be turning right. And instead of climbing Cardiac Hill, you’ll run downhill. Participants will receive guaranteed entry into the July 4th Peachtree, a cozy fleece hoodie, and bragging rights to say you were part of the inaugural event. Registration details will be announced soon, so keep an eye out on our social media channels for more information! We’ll see you this winter ☃️

Earlier this year, MYLAPS entered into a long-term partnership with Atlanta Track Club, bringing its cutting-edge technology to all Club events and youth programming. Supported by timing partner The Last Mile Racing, MYLAPS has powered all the Club's events in 2024. Looking ahead to the next five years, MYLAPS will partner with the Club’s efforts to eliminate entry barriers for youth programming by contributing $10,000 annually.     In the face of battling cancer and undergoing extensive treatments, Scott Cohen not only overcame his health struggles but also embraced the challenge of running the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon for Kilometer Kids. Despite the obstacles, his determination to support the free youth running program, in which his wife and kids are both actively a part of as site leads and participants, never wavered.     On November 3, 2024, Joshua Murphy, alongside five other dedicated runners from Atlanta and beyond, will take on the TCS New York City Marathon. Their mission? To champion the cause of Kilometer Kids through fundraising and extraordinary athletic feats. As Josh embarks on this marathon journey, his two daughters, Molly (4) and Maddy (1), will be at the forefront of his thoughts. He sees this as an opportunity to lay the foundation for their future success within the Kilometer Kids program, a free youth running program for kids in grades K-5. By setting an example of perseverance, Josh aims to instill in them the invaluable skills of goal-setting and achievement, no matter how daunting the path may be. You’ve likely seen them in action at our All-Comer Track & Field meets, Wingfoot Night of Champions and other events. Now, as part of this collaboration, their athletes will have access to our state-of-the-art indoor pole vault facility at Atlanta Track Club. This partnership is yet another step in our ongoing commitment to advancing the sport of track and field in Atlanta and beyond.

    ⭐ MEET THE NYC MARATHON KILOMETER KIDS CHARITY TEAM - Casey Klurfeld ⭐ While Casey Klurfeld might not be from Atlanta originally, that doesn’t stop her from promoting and fundraising for the Kilometer Kids program while in New York! This November, she will run her first marathon, the TCS New York City Marathon, for Kilometer Kids and inspire an active and healthy future for thousands of children. Kilometer Kids is Atlanta Track Club’s largest free youth running program for children in grades K-5. The program teaches thousands of children about goal setting, healthy habits, respect, community building, and more by exposing them to the sport of running and walking. Thanks to the efforts of our charity runners like Casey and other donors, this season’s Kilometer Kids program has reached more participants than ever and allowed us to open over 80 sites around Georgia.
