Our Richmond branch recently partnered with Discovery Village At The West End to support The Longest Day, benefiting the Alzheimer's Association®. We are thrilled to announce that we exceeded our fundraising goal of $5,000! This incredible achievement wouldn't have been possible without the generous partnerships from Tarrants West, American Family, Woody Hogg, Davvero Gelato, and Polpetti. Your support made this day truly special. A heartfelt thank you to the family, friends, and community members who attended and donated items for the auction. Your contributions and involvement made all the difference. Together, we are making strides in the fight against Alzheimer's. 💜

Meet our Hospice Volunteer, Tori! Tori comes from a military family who moved around quite a bit, but she considers her true homes to be Northern California and Northern Virginia, where her family lives. She is a pre-med student with plans to join the Navy after med school. She loves hiking and kayaking and keeps chickens who she often knits personalized sweaters for. Some of Tori’s favorites include: • Vacation destination: her cousins’ houses • Book: too hard to choose but nothing compares to the night she stayed up until 6:00am reading Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein • Game: it’s a tie between Talisman: The Magical Quest Game, the 2nd edition and Stardew Valley • Movie and TV show: RRR and Avatar: The Last Airbender (the cartoon) As an AT Home Care and Hospice volunteer, Tori is currently providing companionship to an elderly gentleman living in a care facility. During their visits, they play board games and she reads to him. Volunteering with AT Home Care and Hospice provides Tori an opportunity to volunteer even with her hectic schedule of work and school. She says, “It has been wonderful not only getting to know someone but becoming a regular part of their life. When I take an hour to just focus on being present with another person, I feel much more connected to the rest of the world.” Thank you for all you do, Tori! We are proud to have you on our volunteer team. #VounteerSpotlight #HospiceVolunteer

Oftentimes, it can be easier for Veterans to talk to one another. Our team understands the importance of creating a space where Veterans can gather together and share their stories of service with fellow Veterans. Special events and discussions with team members who are Veterans themselves are just a couple examples of our commitment to providing the best care possible for those who have served.
