NASA has awarded Astrolab and its partners a contract worth up to $1.9 billion to advance the development of the Lunar Terrain Vehicle, which will help Artemis astronauts explore more of the Moon’s surface. Astrolab is one of three teams to win contract awards. We are excited that NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration intends to use Astrolab’s Flexible Logistics & Exploration (FLEX) rover for crewed operations beginning with Artemis V in 2029, and will use the rover on prior uncrewed missions, operating FLEX remotely from Earth. Interstellar Lab’s Bloom prototype made a memorable debut at the XPRIZE #Visioneering 2024 in California where we presented Mission Little Prince! Bloom arrived in style onboard Astrolab ‘s FLEX rover, driven by Astrolab CEO Jaret Matthews and astronaut Dr. Sian “Leo” Proctor, Ph.D. We also had the honor of introducing Mission Little Prince to Neil deGrasse Tyson. Soon there will be roses growing on the moon! 🌹 🌕 #XPRIZE #Visioneering #InterstellarLab #MissionLittlePrince

Rockstar panel and great mixer last week at Astrolab. Best quote via James Antifaev: “People tend to overestimate what they can do in a year, but underestimate what they can do in ten.” #LATechWeek #moonshot #AstroLab #FLEXrover #SpaceIndustry #SpaceExploration

How often do you get to see a next gen Lunar rover in person? Astrolab opened their doors to #LATechWeek to show off their designs. The standing orientation for astronauts makes visibility and maneuvering in EVA suits safer and more comfortable. I love the focus on human factors. They also hosted a panel of speakers building the foundations of the lunar economy. These experts are working on the critical systems and solutions that will make sustainable living and business on the Moon possible. LA Tech Week was on fire 🔥! The space ecosystem here is blowing my mind—the lunar economy is about to take off. Rovers, lunar landing pads, habitat construction, asteroid mining, and space transportation are all coming together fast. LA is the hub for the companies driving this revolution. We don’t know what the killer app will be yet, but one thing’s certain: the companies are being built. So excited to be part of this incredible movement! The Astrolab party once again proves to be one of the best big vision space parties I get to. Mind blown by all that is coming together fast. 🤯 #LATechWeek #LunarEconomy #SpaceEcosystem
