The Voice of Academic Public Health
About us
ASPPH is the voice of academic public health, representing schools and programs accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). ASPPH promotes the efforts of schools and programs of public health to improve the health of every person through education, research, and policy. Based upon the belief that “you’re only as healthy as the world you live in,” ASPPH works with stakeholders to develop solutions to the most pressing health concerns and provides access to the ongoing initiatives of the schools of public health. ASPPH created the brand This Is Public Health (TIPH) to raise awareness about education and career options in public health through student ambassadors, graduate fairs, partnerships, interprofessional activities, and other pipeline-building events for students.

Thank you to our wonderful members who joined us at the 2024 hashtag #ASPPHLeadershipRetreat! The Leadership Retreat convenes ASPPH member deans and program directors to engage in discussions and share experiences and perspectives with colleagues to gain insights into key challenges and opportunities facing academic public health. It provides an opportunity for attendees to share promising practices, increase knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and network in a smaller setting with their peers. This year, we especially enjoyed discussing a variety of topics ranging from Framing the Future implementation to conflict resolution.

Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) reposted this
President & CEO of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH); President of the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH)
This weekend's political violence underscores the urgent need to come together to address the critical issues facing our communities, including the epidemic of firearm violence and the polarization that divides our nation. The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) stands firmly against all acts of violence, particularly those involving firearms. Firearm violence is a public health crisis that continues to devastate individuals, families, and communities. Moreover, polarization in our nation exacerbates this issue. To address this crisis, public health must continue to foster open and constructive dialogue for peace and reconciliation within our communities. By rebuilding the social network, reconciling our differences, and finding peaceful solutions, we can move towards a safer, healthier, and more united society.
