The Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) unites 15 Central Securities Depositories in 14 countries of the Eurasia region. The Association's mission is to provide a platform for sharing ideas for development and enhancement of depository operations, creating a common depository space, and integrating the CSDs–the AECSD’s members into the global securities settlement system.

Chairman of the Eurasian Association of Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) and Board Member of the World Forum of Depository Institutions (WFC) Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN participated 39th AMEDA - Africa and Middle East Depositories Association Conference hosted by Qatar Central Securities Depository Edaa (Qatar CSD) in Doha. Dr. ARIKAN held meetings within the scope of the development of financial cooperation between the Eurasian region and the Middle East and Africa. During the visit Dr. ARIKAN presented plaques and gifts to Edaa CEO Mr. Sheikh Saif Bin Abdullah AL THANI, COO of Bahrain Clear, AMEDA President & WFC Vice-Chairman Mr. Abdulla Abdin, AMEDA Secretary General Ms. Riham KHEDR. As AECSD, we continue our efforts in line with our aim of strengthening and our global collaborations.
