MidTown Cleveland, Inc. and Hough Community Leaders are thrilled to announce the Black Avenue Cultural District Request for Proposals (RFP)! This initiative aims to celebrate Black culture, art, and history, bringing together the vibrant neighborhoods of MidTown and Hough. DEADLINE: October 11th, 2024. 📍 The Black Avenue project focuses on a master planning process for three key areas: E 55th, E 66th, and E 75th streets. The vision is to create a unified cultural district that honors and uplifts the rich heritage of Black life, art, and entrepreneurship in Cleveland. 🎶 The project will include: • Community engagement to gather stories and ideas from residents. • A feasibility study for a development project at E 75th Street, home to the historic Leo’s Casino. • A master plan tying together the unique contributions of each neighborhood node. Teams with expertise in community engagement, public art, planning, real estate, and architecture are encouraged and invited to submit proposals.
