Thank you to Cadillac Asphalt, LLC and Matthew Daavettila & Eric Forgash for hosting Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan latest legislative tour. Also, a huge thank you to @Representative Nate Shannon, the Chair of the Michigan House of Representatives Transportation Committee, for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit a paving project and learn about asphalt mixtures. We had a chance to talk about how the mixtures are designed, produced, transported, and placed on the project. We also got a chance to meet some of the hardworking men and women who work their tails off each day to keep Michiganders moving safely and smoothly and how adequate, sustainable transportation funding plays a critical role in that mission. Finally, we talked about the need for more transportation funding and how, without it, we jeopardize people's careers as well as the achievements made to Michigan's transportation infrastructure with the Rebuilding Michigan program. #asphalt #asphaltpaving #transportationfunding #fixthedamnroads

It is such an honor to visit with the men and women from these crews and to help celebrate their achievement! 👏 🎉 Last visit of the 2023 Award year for Chuck Mills and Brett Stanton was a visit with the paving crew at Pyramid Paving for their Award of Excellence -project M-46 Towerline Road to Richville, Saginaw/Tuscola Co. Projects over 30,000 Tons. Way to go to everyone on the crew, at the plant, and back in the offices! 👏 🎉 Be sure to follow the Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan so you don't miss out on celebrations like this!
