    Meet Hannah Kelley, a test development manager for Innovative Learning and Assessment Solutions, a shared services department at Ascend Learning. In her role, Hannah plans and coordinates the assessment creation work of the test development team, ensuring that product creation workflows are established and coordinated with the appropriate teams — and that her team has the tools and resources to accomplish the work.     We’re pleased to announce that Dr. Kathy Baldridge DNP FNP-BC FAANP, lead nurse practitioner education specialist at Ascend brand Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA), has been honored with the 2024 Advocate State Award for Excellence in Louisiana by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Given to only one nurse practitioner (NP) from each state, this award recognizes Kathy’s tireless advocacy for nurse practitioners and her significant contributions to patient care. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing the NP profession, doubling the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners membership during her time as president, championing full practice authority for APRNs, and passing multiple bills impacting nurse practitioner care and patient care.     At Ascend, we're fortunate to have team members who are thought leaders in their field, advocate for the industries and professions we serve, and share their knowledge and expertise, including Estelle Mense, vice president of marketing. Estelle recently appeared on Demand Spring's "Marketing Unplugged" podcast to share key insights from The Marketing Career Longevity survey, a study she conducted to understand what it takes to have a long career in marketing. "I was thrilled to uncover that marketers have high job satisfaction levels," Estelle said. "It was equally encouraging to see that most marketers in their 50s and 60s feel they are performing at their peak or that the best of their career has yet to come. I found it interesting that people attributed their success to personal leadership and managed to be equally successful if they specialized in an industry or if they gained experiences across multiple industries."     Meet Robert Attenweiler, manager of Learning Design, part of Innovative Learning and Assessment Solutions (ILAS), a shared services team at Ascend Learning. Robert supports a talented team of learning design strategists, instructional designers, narrative designers, and technical learning designers who create engaging interactive learning experiences that range from what will become our 2-D simulations to interactive role-play simulations with learner performance dashboards to continuous-scrolling e-learning modules and other non-narrative learning content. "I love the constant push toward innovation when working with interactive experiences," Robert says. "And I'm inspired by the unexpected ways the learning we're promoting intersects in our everyday lives."
