Where were you? I was in 5th grade and we were wrapping up school mass. A man (not a teacher), walked up to the pulpit and announced there had been a terrorist attack in New York. I didn’t know what that word meant. We went back to class and turned on the TV. I saw my teacher, Mrs Pfafflin, cry. When I got home, I remember my oldest brother telling me to shut up becuase I was talking too much during the news. It took me a while to understand the magnitude of the situation. A tradgedy beyond comprehension. An event that ultimately put me on a path to military service. Military service that helped me land a position at Accuride Corporation, where I made a connection that brought me to Armory Technologies. It is important to me to remember the pain and suffering of that day - the brutal recordings or transcripts of voicemails, the photos of those lost, and the memorials. It is equally important to me to be grateful for the silver linings that materialized in the aftermath. I remember and am grateful.
