What an amazing, unforgettable time was had at Arkay's Hauppauge Design Studio last week. Not only did we get to enjoy Arkay's annual summer picnic and awards presentations, but the highlight was celebrating the 50th anniversary of Arkay’s COO, Walt Shiels, by surprising him with a gorgeous black 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate pick-up truck. The look on Walt’s face when CEO Mitchell Kaneff drove it over and greeted him from behind the wheel? Priceless! 😊
Arkay has joined SBTi, a partnership between CDP, UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and WWF. Established for businesses to reduce GHG emissions by setting ambitious targets, Arkay has already set two: The 1st to be achieved by 2030 and the 2nd by 2045, an incredible accomplishment. Now Arkay can track and report on progress year-over-year, evidence of our ongoing commitment – and dedication – to global sustainability!

Looking at them is a proud reminder of Arkay’s beginnings in 1922 and these exceptional men whose foresight and courage brought us so successfully through 102 years to where we are today!
