Last evening, #ArkaneLyon and AfroGameuses co-hosted a networking event focused on discussing diversity and the invaluable contributions of Black professionals in the video game industry. Thank you to all attendees and contributors whose participation ensured the success of this event, with a special appreciation to Kyle Okwe from Bethesda Game Studios, Lena Dobric and Dinga Bakaba from Arkane Lyon, and of course Jennifer Lufau ⚔ from the AfroGameuses association. Such gatherings serve as powerful reminders of the impact of community and collaboration in shaping a more inclusive future for everyone. 🤝 🎮
In recognition of #nationalvolunteermonth, #ArkaneAustin volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank. We combined our efforts with other local volunteers and packed 591 boxes of food - a total of 17,730 lbs. or 14,775 meals! It was an amazing experience that allowed us to give back to our community. The Central Texas Food Bank is a wonderful organization that has been leading the community in the fight against hunger for over 40 years. Celebrating International Women’s Day at Arkane Lyon ; this afterwork was an opportunity to gather Lyon’s gaming industry, create new bonds and drive meaningful conversations about diversity and inclusion. We delved into topics such as career challenges for women, the importance of D&I in a team, maternity leave, and much more. We’re convinced this afterwork will help foster and support D&I in our industry! Thanks to our Associate HR Director Emilie Erbin for initiating this event, and to GAME ONLY and Women in Games France for supporting us to make it a success!
