About us
ARISE is a project funded under the Horizon Europe framework and stands for agile, human-centric and real-time enabled open source technologies, advancing industrial human-robotic-interaction (HRI) in Europe. Combining open technologies such as ROS2, FastDDs and FIWARE the consortium works on setting new standards, developing open-source real-time middleware, addressing challenges in industrial contexts. This middleware acts as an intermediary layer facilitating efficient and agile communication between humans and robots, promoting collaboration in various work environments, such as manufacturing, logistics, and even healthcare. The main goal is to strengthen European industry through the implementation of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). The advantages of ARISE are many-fold. It will facilitate the rapid and robust creation of robotic applications, promoting efficiency and agility in the industry., while following a ethical and safety-focused approach to ensure safe and respectful working environments. The project deploys HRI in four Test and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) across Europe and will further include HRI providers, SME, start-ups and end-user companies through a third-party experiment funding plan (FSTP).

The ARISE - advancing industrial HRI consortium is happy to announce the Expression of Interest - the initial phase of the project’s 1st Open Call for full proposals from consortia that will be launched in autumn 2024. The Open Call will support you with up to EUR 200,000 in your pilot on HRI-enabled solutions for industrial robotics automation. 🧩The main objective of being an applicant of the Expression of Interest is to become validated as a fitting end-user or technology provider of the projects submitted for the open call. 🧩This validation ensures that a successful consortium can be created during the 1st ARISE Open Call as the list of validated end-users will be published for those applying. In this first open call, ARISE will fund up to 13 projects for HRI-enabled solutions for industrial robotics automation and up to EUR 200,000 will be distributed to each one of the selected projects, based upon the successful delivery of technical and business reports along the 12-months support program.
