Our next 40 Faces of the Arkansas Foodbank is Tyson Foods! When asked about Tyson’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Arkansas Foodbank, Tim Grailer, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, responded, "As a family company that is dedicated to feeding the world like family, addressing food insecurity in our own backyard is an important part of who we are. We take seriously our role in not only providing healthy protein into the charitable food system, but also in removing systemic obstacles to those that are food insecure in achieving stability." Thank you for your continued support, Tyson Foods!

Today, we bid a bittersweet goodbye to our Chief Development Officer, Sarah Riffle. Sarah has been with the Foodbank for 8 years and has truly changed the game! She doubled our yearly revenue, led the capital campaign for our volunteer building expansion, guided our giving program through COVID, and so much more! During her time, Sarah (and her team) raised over $60 MILLION to fight food insecurity in Arkansas!! We are so proud to know Sarah and to have had her on our staff! Women's Foundation of Arkansas - you’re getting a good one!

Thank you to Conagrabrands for empowering us to make a significant impact in Arkansas. With our new Conagra and Feeding America capacity grant, we’re able to address the nutritious needs of the 1 in 6 Arkansans facing food insecurity. In addition to this generous funding, our friends at the Conagra plant in Russellville donated almost 500,000 pounds of food to our programming last year and over 150,000 so far this year! Thank you, Conagra, for your continued partnership!

Here's why they continue to work with the Arkansas Foodbank: "When we established God's House Food Pantry, we saw a need we could meet through feeding others. Providing food when it's needed is our way of showing love for our community. Thanks to the nutritious food supplied by the Foodbank, we can continue doing what we love—helping those in need."

Yesterday, several Arkansas Rice Companies came together and generously donated 284,000 pounds of rice to the Arkansas Foodbank in honor of National Rice Month and Hunger Action Month! This incredible contribution will support families across Arkansas, helping to stock weekend backpacks for children, fill food boxes for home-bound seniors, and supply local food pantries. The rice will be distributed to Feeding America network foodbanks in Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Texarkana, Little Rock, and Springdale. Thank you SO much to the Rice Companies and our Elected Officials for their unwavering support in the fight against hunger!
