Our next 40 Faces of the Arkansas Foodbank is Phyllis Haynes! Phyllis served as the CEO of the Arkansas Foodbank from 1999-2012. As CEO, Phyllis led the Foodbank in more than doubling its distribution of food to Arkansans through a network of over 270 food pantries, homeless shelters, and child feeding programs. Under her leadership, the Foodbank also opened a $10 million distribution center in May 2011 in Little Rock. Phyllis's leadership and compassion have left an indelible mark on our organization. She has always believed in the power of unity and support, reminding us that we are all on this planet together, striving for the betterment of all. "We will see anywhere from 350-425 families a month. With rising food costs- families are desperate, and so those cereal boxes go a long way." - Rusty Hart, City Center Director. The City Center has been serving the Little Rock community for many years. They were one of the pantries that received cereal from the Little Rock Community Site during the 2024 Summer Cereal Drive. Every donation makes a difference! This has been an incredible year for the Summer Cereal Drive, and we cannot wait to round it out at the Breakfast of Champions one week from today! See you there! 🥣☀️ #SCD24 #ArkansasFoodbank #ARFB
