Compact cube, new turning technology An automated 3-component ALLROUNDER CUBE 1800 produces a functional part from PP, TPE, and POM. The finished molded part is produced directly in the mold thanks to assembly injection molding. Mold filling, cooling, part removal by a six-axis robot, and other assembly steps, including capping in the gripper, take place synchronously. At the heart of the machine is a compact cube from partner company Foboha, which is easily accessible from above. The 8 8 8-cavity mold with two index platens on each side of the cube features the new CITI technology. Turnkey system manufactures dolphins from recyclate. A turnkey system built around an electric ALLROUNDER 470 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC produced small plastic dolphins fully automatically at Fakuma 2023. The material used is a post-consumer recyclate (PCR) made from old fishing nets. As a result, plastic waste is turned into a new, long-lasting product with a significantly improved carbon footprint. Injection compression molding IML thin-walled cups in 3.95 seconds. In a cycle time of 3.95 seconds, an ‘ULTIMATE’ ALLROUNDER 720 A can produce IML thin-walled cups with a wall thickness of just 0.37 millimeters. Thanks to a new all-electric packaging machine working in combination with Injection Compression Moulding (ICM), the energy footprint has improved by 20 percent, and the component weight has dropped significantly from 13 to 10.8 grams. The IML product can be recycled by type after use because the special “Next Cycle IML” label can be completely separated from the cup’s PP during recycling.
