Arbella was proud to be a sponsor of Jimmy Fund Day, where participants were able to practice like the pros at Fenway Park, taking pitches at bat and even getting special access to the locker room and dugout. Some Arbella employees were lucky enough to attend the event, and all proceeds benefitted The Jimmy Fund.

Arbella was proud to support our tenth Bowl for Goal event with the New England Revolution this week, which raised over $100,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts! We had a great time bowling with SOMA athletes and Revs players, and we look forward to accomplishing more with these partnerships this year.

We are pleased to announce that Greater Lawrence Family Health Center has launched their second mobile health unit in Massachusetts! This week’s ribbon cutting featured wonderful messages from Arbella’s CEO, John Donohue, Dr. Guy Fish and Dr. Ryan Dono of GLFHC, and State Senator Pavel Payano regarding how this new van will meet the ongoing need to treat unhoused and transient individuals and families who are prevented from going to brick-and-mortar health centers around Lawrence, Haverhill, Methuen, and Andover. The mobile clinic hosts two clinical rooms, a wheelchair lift, restroom, and will have three clinicians working at a time. With this new mobile health clinic, the team will be able to triple their patient care from years past. The Arbella Insurance Foundation is proud to partner with Greater Lawrence Family Health Center on this initiative to bring medicine on the road in Massachusetts.

Members of Arbella's Corporate Communications department volunteered last week at Catie's Closet, Inc! Catie’s Closet is an amazing nonprofit that provides clothes, toiletries, and other basic essentials to students living in poverty right within their schools. They set up free stores in schools, giving children direct access to everything they need to attend class confidently. For info on how you can donate or volunteer, visit, https://lnkd.in/d3Ck5EAJ.

Arbella's Operations Contact Centers recently held an employee celebration to show appreciation for our contact center staff who care for our customers day in and day out and rarely get time off the phones to mingle with their peers. The evening consisted of dinner, raffles, a friendly but FIERCE game of trivia, lots of laughs, and quality time together. Thank you to our amazing employees for all you do!

“A charitable organization close to my heart is Lazarus House Ministries. I have known about Lazarus House since I was 16 years old, and have been volunteering there for the last three. For over 40 years, Lazarus House Ministries has served people in our community every day with dignity and respect by offering food, shelter, clothing, and advocacy services. I first heard of the organization through my friendship with the Executive Director of the shelter. During my time at Lazarus House, my husband and I lead music classes for the children. Seeing the children sing and dance to the songs, or learn how to play the guitar with my husband, is the best part of my time volunteering there. It is magical to see the joy in their eyes. What is most incredible about Lazarus House Ministries is its community. People who were once in the shelter or visited the food pantry are now paying it forward and volunteering themselves. So much of the work that Lazarus House does not only supports physical needs, but also strengthens the inner person to be part of the change in the community. As this month’s #ArbellaAmbassador, I hope I inspire my team and others to greet those you see on your travels with an open and non-judgmental heart. At a time when so much financial strain exists, the Lazarus House Ministries community continues to exude joy. They are a clear representation of the Arbella phrase “Here. For Good.” I cannot imagine our city without their constant presence and service of love.” – Jomary Torres, Customer Service Agent, Bearingstar Insurance Agency
