Today marks the 90th anniversary of the National Housing Act of 1934. Though an imperfect piece of legislation, it was the first step in paving the way for other crucial housing legislation, the cumulative effects of which have created a significant impact on the lives of thousands seeking non-discriminatory, affordable housing—and continues today. April Housing seeks to expand this mission by opening new paths toward affordable housing.

We just wrapped our 2nd annual "April Blooms" employee appreciation month. Throughout the month, we organized activities to show appreciation for our dedicated employees. We kicked off with the Leadership team serving breakfast bagels at our Los Angeles office, celebrated Earth Day with a downtown clean up event, and packed 200 sack lunches with handwritten notes for the Downtown Women's Center. It means so much to find new ways to give back to the community and connect with one another.
