  • ⭐ Employee Spotlight ⭐ on Angie Jackson — Baker Center for Primary Care Angie Jackson has been a Front Desk Receptionist at the Baker Primary Care Center in Linville for four years. She says what she loves most about working there is making people smile. “We get so many people that seem lonely whether they live alone or they have family that have moved away,” she says. " Each of us has the power to make a difference — in big and small ways.” She credits the time she spent at Crossnore School when she was a teenager as being her second chance in life and a big influence on why she wants to make a difference in the lives of others. On her days off she loves to cook and share with others. She also loves to watch her neighbors’ horses and cows while sitting on her porch. “I have been married for 30 years to my wonderful and handsome Thomas Jackson,” Angie said. The couple have three children and they attend Oak Grove Baptist Church in Newland. Her hobbies include walking, working in the yard, spending time with family, attending Vacation Bible School, helping with any sporting event, tennis, shopping, visiting waterfalls, Pac-man and word searches. #OneGreatTeam

  • Here’s a review we couldn’t wait to share about the Vein Services at Watauga Surgical Group. We strive to treat our patients like friends and family and are so glad when they feel that. As we age, many of us can relate to living with varicose and spider veins which can be painful but also make us self-conscious. Dr. Paul Dagher has treated veins at Watauga Surgical for over 20 years with non-operative and minimally invasive techniques.
