We at Applied Ventures are delighted to have just concluded our fifth cohort of ASTRA (Applied Start-up Technology & Research Accelerator). We want to thank everyone who participated and joined us to make it a highly engaging and successful event. ASTRA 2024 witnessed participation from six Deeptech startups from India, Singapore, and Australia, presenting their disruptive products, platforms, and solutions to a select audience of global Applied leaders and our startup ecosystem partners. We were excited to see the quality of over 50 Deeptech startups and VCs who participated in the program. The Indian Deeptech startup and VC ecosystem is finally coming of age. The six selected startups included Augmentus, CynLr, Syenta, CloudSEK, XYMA Analytics , and Distil, from diverse segments of interest to Applied Materials, including Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing, GenAI, Cybersecurity, Sensing, and Supply Chain. We also wish to thank our two keynote speakers for their highly insightful talks. Puneet Agarwal, CEO of VVDN, a portfolio company of Applied Ventures, presented on the dynamics of the global ODM & EMS market and the pivotal role VVDN is playing as a key product design and manufacturing partner for global product companies.
