These two projects in Dana Point, California contain 700 pieces and 350 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel. Just one of these homes contained 111 roof beams! We are proud to have been a part of this project and shoutout to our shops, field crews, and project manager Chilito Ramirez!

Closeup view of a mid-frame 2nd floor connection showing the new DuraFuse Frames system being installed for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company by Junior Steel Co at the Brea Mall expansion. This connection allows the stresses of a significant seismic event to be absorbed by the “fuse plate” at the underside of the connection. If there is damage, the beam is saved, the column is saved and only the Fuse Plate needs to be replaced. Amazing where technology has taken us in the seismic connection world of California!

Structural Steel is 40% complete at the new Indio Courthouse facility. The General Contractor specifically requested our assistance on this project after the original subcontractor could not perform. Anvil Steel was able to assess, correct, fabricate, and begin installation to help get the project back on schedule. These types of projects allow us to show the capabilities we bring to challenging jobs and we thank Rudolph and Sletten for their trust and confidence in bringing us onto the team.
