In part one of this free 1-hr webinar, Orla Mahony, M.V.B., DACVIM, DECVIM shares how she manages dogs and cats with diabetes mellitus. Dr. Mahony will review the causes of diabetes in dogs and cats, remission in diabetic cats, the goals of treatment, insulin choices for dogs and cats, insulin administration, and dietary considerations. In part two of this free 1-hour webinar, Dr. Orla Mahony, M.V.B., DACVIM, DECVIM, shares her methods for monitoring diabetic glycemic control in dogs and cats. She will also introduce attendees to the use of the newly approved sodium-glucose co-transporter inhibitors (SGLT2i) for diabetic cats.
