About Andrus Andrus (Julia Dyckman Andrus Memorial) is a private, non-profit organization that helps secure strong, promising futures for children, families, and communities by promoting stability, increasing resilience, and rebuilding hope. Our mission is to transform lives through innovative, coordinated social and emotional support for all. Our vision for the community we serve is for children and families to discover a place of safety and healing. Andrus provides mental health and community services through its innovative, one system of care model that effectively and equitably responds to the social determinants of health. Guided by the trauma-responsive framework of our Sanctuary Model and a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion lens, Andrus staff partner with individuals, children, and families to provide services in their homes, communities, on our 110-acre campus in Yonkers/Hastings, and in 35 school-based mental health clinics across Westchester. We specialize in providing children and families with the skills they need to express and cope with strong emotions, effectively decreasing the need for inpatient and residential treatment. Andrus is committed to providing equal access to its programs and facilities without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or ability to pay. Last year, one of the residents came-up with the idea of us doing a campus wide cooking completion! Today we participated in our first annual Andrus Iron Chef. The children and staff blew us away with creativity, teamwork, and delicious creations. The recreation team was so inspired by our children and staff. Congrats to Bourne Hall on their win! We are hiring! We are looking for a Grants Manager to join our team! The Grants Manager has the primary responsibility for driving the grant process from grant seeking, submission, managing awards and ensuring appropriate reporting and completion. Essential Duties of Grants Manager -Work with various department heads to identify funding needs and research potential funders -Forge relationships with both public and private entities that award grants -Prepares proposals by conducting research, gathering internal and external data to support grants requests, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals within allotted timeframes -Gathers information from internal staff both to support grant applications as well as to report on spending and outcomes -Submits formal reports back to grantors as needed -Creates and updates grant tracking spreadsheets and calendars to track and organize the proposal and reporting process to meet grantor deadlines -Writes and edits executive summaries, conclusions, and organizational and program descriptions -Prepares presentations by assembling and overseeing the printing and digital presentation of proposals, including text and graphics -Maintains the overall quality of proposals by creating, maintaining, and revising proposal templates -Supports special project and event initiatives throughout organization.
