There is a crucial need to improve health literacy, provide case management, and offer resources for education, housing, and social security disability to overcome barriers to health equity and ensure patients receive comprehensive support, according to Tiara Green, Accessia Health.
"When we think about the amount of debt that Americans have in health care, it's about $220 billion—that's a lot of money that they're spending on health care. About 3 million people in America have $10,000, at least, in medical debt per person. So, when we talk about health equity and the amount of money that they're spending, and the ability to access quality care—and that's the keyword: quality—it's difficult. Our job at Accessia Health is really to assist them in getting the care that they need," Tiara Green explains in an interview with AJMC - The American Journal of Managed Care https://lnkd.in/eircqpqj #HealthEquity #HealthCare #RareDisease

🌟 Embracing the Future of Value-Based Care: AI and Digital Health 🌟 Excited to share work with AJMC - The American Journal of Managed Care The future of value-based care is being shaped by several significant trends in AI and digital healthcare. Here are key areas that providers should focus on: AI-Driven Diagnostics: AI tools are revolutionizing the way we interpret medical images, pathology, and genetic data. Providers should invest in these technologies to complement and enhance the diagnostic process. Telemedicine and Remote Patient Monitoring: The pandemic accelerated the adoption of virtual care platforms. Integrating these technologies can help discharge patients earlier, reduce medical costs, and improve overall care. Predictive and Preventive Care: AI's predictive capabilities allow for a shift from reactive to proactive care. Providers should develop strategies to incorporate predictive analytics into their care plans for early intervention. Interoperable Data Integration: Seamless data integration across different health information systems is crucial. Providers should prioritize adopting and participating in initiatives that ensure smooth data flow. Patient Empowerment: AI and digital tools enable patients to manage their health proactively. From fitness trackers to personalized health solutions, providers should enhance patient engagement through these innovations. By staying abreast of these trends and proactively incorporating AI and digital health innovations, healthcare providers can effectively navigate the evolving landscape of value-based care. https://lnkd.in/eUxR_nki #AI #DigitalHealth #ValueBasedCare #HealthcareInnovation #Telemedicine #PredictiveAnalytics #PatientEngagement #HealthTech
