ACEC Virginia helps member firms build their business and employees and promote a healthy business culture for the engineering profession in Virginia. ACEC Virginia is the largest professional engineering association in Virginia, serving small, midsize and large firms, alike. We provide our members with networking opportunities with potential clients, peers and colleagues and serve as a legislative watchdog, protecting the engineering profession in Virginia and creating a business environment conducive to the engineering industry. We ensure QBS standards are adhered to by notifying localities when violations occur and explaining the imperative of compliance with Virginia statues. We also provide professional development on how to run your business, forecasts on future issues facing engineering in Virginia. We work closely with ACEC National on issues of mutual interest, offering benefits to members and protecting the profession on a national level.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia proudly presents the 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards, recognizing engineering firms for projects demonstrating exceptional innovation, complexity, achievement, and value. All engineering or surveying firms are eligible to enter. Member firms can enter projects from any region/area and worldwide. Non-member firms from other states, including Virginia, must enter a project in Virginia. Multiple entries are permitted. A completed entry form must be signed by both the entrant and the client/owner (senior executives, officials), verifying that the project was substantially completed and ready for use between November 1, 2022, and October 31, 2024.
