First Guaranty Bank in Louisiana, which appointed a new CEO in early June, announced changes to its business strategy that includes "working with leaner staff while utilizing automation and technological advances." About 71 jobs have been cut, according to a press release that included the company's second-quarter earnings results. In addition, the dividend will be 8 cents per share in the third and fourth quarters of this year, down from 16 cents in recent quarters, the company said.
