Congratulations to the National Black Nurses Association on their 52nd annual conference celebrating Black excellence in nursing across the nation. Alameda Health System CEO James Jackson gave the keynote address and discussed the vital role safety net health systems play in achieving health equity and caring for our unique community. “It’s easy to lose hope in the face of intractable-seeming problems. But in the face of great challenge, we must remember: we have the answers. The answers are in this room, in our lived experience, in our training, and in the faces I see before me,” Jackson said.
