Construction is underway on Amtrak's $2.7 billion Susquehanna River Rail Bridge Project in Northeast Maryland to increase passenger rail capacity with two new two-track bridges; modernize five miles of track, catenary, and signals; improve reliability and safety; increase trains speeds; and eliminate conflicts with maritime traffic. Governor Kathy Hochul announced that construction has begun on a $634.8 million replacement of the Livingston Avenue Rail Bridge spanning the Hudson River between Albany and Rensselaer. The project will also create a separated shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists. It may seem like nonstop offshore wind news coming out of AKRF, but it's that dynamic of a market. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management announced its approval of the Atlantic Shores South offshore wind energy project, for which AKRF supported ICF in preparing the NEPA Environmental Impact Statement. The Record of Decision documents the decision to approve the construction of up to 195 wind turbine generators by Shell New Energies and EDF Renewables North America.
