  • We love hearing about the impactful experiences our members share during regional events. Job well done to our chapter at UCF for hosting the Southeast Sisterhood Conference this spring.

On March 30th, I had the pleasure of attending the alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. Southeast Sisterhood Conference, graciously hosted by the University of Central Florida Pre-Associate Chapter of aKDPhi. It was a pleasure to witness representation from all six universities within the southeast region, reconnecting with familiar faces and forging new connections. The conference encompassed a series of professional development workshops, a meaningful service event dedicated to supporting One Heart for Women and Children, and invaluable sisterhood bonding activities. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the presenters from the University of Central Florida, Sarah Liu, and Angela Le, whose contributions greatly enriched our experience. Themed "Hello aKDPhi and Friends," the conference was meticulously designed to evoke the spirit of the beloved character Hello Kitty and her companions. This thematic choice fostered an atmosphere of inclusivity and camaraderie, contributing to a memorable and impactful day. Reflecting on the day, I am reminded of the profound impact of unity and collaboration within our community. Thank you to all organizers (prominently Fiza Hashim and Alynna Moreland!) and participants for their dedication to making this conference a resounding success. Here's to the continued growth, excellence, and sisterhood! #aKDPhi #SESC24 #ProfessionalDevelopment #Sisterhood

  • This past week in Orlando, FL alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority hosted around 400 collegiate and alumnae members for our 30th Convention. Throughout the weekend attendees had the opportunity to hear powerful keynotes from Lori Hart, Ph.D. and Sheena Yap Chan, to learn from our various workshops centered around growth, our core values, mental and women’s health, to participate in service activities, and most importantly they were able to connect with sisters from across North America. We hope to see even more sisters next year in Dallas, Texas!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 2023 alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. annual convention in sunny Orlando, Florida! ☀️ Meeting other student leaders and strong Asian American women was a fantastic experience. I also got the chance to meet my Fall 2022 Intern Manager for the Sorority Archival & Research project as well! It was incredible to witness the UCF chapter win the "5-Star Chapter" award. Being one of the leaders during this academic year, seeing my chapter honored for their efforts is always rewarding. I'm hoping to make it to the following one in Dallas, Texas! “#convention #akdphi
