Airspace Link partnered with Spexi this week to create earning opportunities for Part 107 licensed drone pilots in our home city of #Detroit. Airspace Link is teaming up with Spexi to support the #dronepilot network, capturing earth imagery used by governments and companies for various applications including emergency response, infrastructure inspection, and smart city planning. Spexi allows local pilots to turn their #drone skills into income by capturing local earth imagery in the form of Spexigons – hexagonal zones that overlay a map of the earth inside the #Spexi app in order to show where imagery needs to be collected. Pilots should also use #AirspaceLink's AirHub® Portal app to ensure safe flying at the correct height, speed, and location, with full awareness of real-time airspace restrictions. Test flights for the City of Arlington's Multimodal Delivery Project are officially underway this week! Funded by a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grant that #AirspaceLink helped secure, this initiative supports Arlington's aggressive mobility innovation efforts. The project aims to explore autonomous delivery as a sustainable and efficient solution for urban logistics, with a focus on traditionally underserved neighborhoods. By combining middle-mile #dronedelivery with last-mile autonomous ground vehicle delivery, we are working to enhance the distribution of fresh food and essential goods to local communities. Airspace Link is excited to partner with Tarrant Area Food Bank, The University of Texas at Arlington, North Central Texas Council of Governments, Aerialoop, and Clevon on this groundbreaking effort.
