In mid-July, the Airgas Great Lakes Region sponsored the Airgas Night at Midvale Speedway, in New Philadelphia, OH. Kevin Garner, the Senior Driver Recruiter from the North Division, raced the #45 Airgas Late Model and claimed first place in his heat race! Kevin was also joined by Airgas driver, Tim Roudebush, to drive the American flag around the track during the national anthem. Reflecting on this event, Kevin shares, “It was an honor to represent my employer, Airgas on such a great night and help put on a great show for all the Airgas associates in attendance. I really wanted to get a win on the Airgas sponsored night so I'm glad I was able to park it in victory lane! A combined 155 Airgas associates from Airgas Specialty Products and our Levittown Distribution Center recently participated in a variety of local Citizen at Work volunteer events to benefit organizations supporting women and children during times of need. We’re grateful for their generous contributions and volunteer efforts. #CitizenatWork Image 1: Five associates from Airgas Speciality Products collected and donated women's products and children's items to the Genesis Women’s Shelter in downtown Dallas, Texas. This site supports women and children with counseling sessions, therapy and life resources. Over 100 bags of donations including sanitary items, journals, pens, coloring books and puzzles were delivered to the shelter by associates from the Waxahachie, TX Airgas Specialty Products plant. After dropping off the donations, this team was given a tour of their brand new facility. Image 2: In Levittown, Pennsylvania, 150 associates from the Levittown Distribution Center donated and put together 46 “Blessing Bags” for Libertae, an organization that supports women in addiction recovery. The Blessing Bags are gently used purses or totes filled with personal care items, from shampoo and conditioner to toothpaste and deodorant for women in need.

Airgas celebrated the opening of a new retail branch in Fremont, California with a grand opening event in mid-June! This new location will allow Airgas to be closer to current and new customers in the East Bay region, and the branch will also make deliveries to serve customers throughout the greater Milpitas-Fremont-Hayward area in Northern California. A team of four associates - from sales specialists to drivers - will proudly serve customers from the new location.
