Making data available and actionable to everyone, everywhere.
About us
Founded in 2020, Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs. We've raised $181M from some of the world's top investors (Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, Y Combinator, etc.) and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome. We’re continuing to grow with over 25,000 companies syncing data with Airbyte’s 200 connectors.

We recently had our exec offsite in San Francisco! It is a very important ritual for Airbyte that we do every quarter. It ensures complete alignment across the team and it helps create deeper bounds between everyone. This episode was about: - 1.0 release: Reliability metrics, Feature set, Communication plan - Continue our push towards AI & Enterprise: RAG features, Enterprise Connectors, Databricks, Iceberg, Sales strategy - Team velocity It was also Joel Newbert & Ally Olney first offsite, welcome to the two of them!

Data movement needs to be scalable, extensible, and reliable. As 6,000 companies move data daily from our 300 data sources, we have also invested heavily in making Airbyte observable through rich metadata available via an API. Today we’re happy to announce that Metaplane, the leading data observability platform used by our own data team, launched an Airbyte integration on top of that API. Data teams can use Airbyte and Metaplane to proactively detect issues like long-running syncs, late-arriving data, and syncs that moved an incorrect amount of data from source to destination. These monitors use machine learning trained on historical metadata, so no configuration is needed. You can also see which Airbyte streams load tables in your warehouse, so you can trace end-to-end lineage from source to destination.
