As laborers and creative thinkers take a stand and unionize for change in their work environment around the US -- take a moment to check out how equity and inclusion are defined by Global titan on EDIC and Equify creator James Kinney! - Equity means to ethically treat all employees to the same standard across salary, promotion, discipline, and termination. - Inclusion is the intentional practice of making people feel like they belong and have the same growth paths through policies, practice, and environment. Calling all trailblazing minds! Next Creative Leaders 2023, presented by The One Club for Creativity and The 3% Movement, is your stage. This free global competition celebrates emerging women and non-binary creatives rewriting the rules. Unleash your creativity, share your unique perspective, and let your leadership spirit soar. Whether you're a copywriting connoisseur, an artistry ace, a design genius, or part of a creative tag team, your brilliance deserves the spotlight. The deadline is December 1, 2023. Learn More- https://lnkd.in/eJdHyXXJ Meet last year's winner, Leticia Tercinic: Hi! I'm Leticia Tercinic, a 27-year-old senior art director from the Brazilian countryside. Over the past seven years, I've crafted advertising brilliance at agencies like J. Walter Thompson, AKQA, and now, Wieden Kennedy, working with clients such as Free Fire, Nubank, Sprite, and Netflix. My work has garnered recognition in numerous industry awards worldwide, including the prestigious Gold Cannes Lion and Grand Clio. As a female creative and a lesbian woman in advertising, I've navigated a sentimental rollercoaster, striving to empower myself about who I am and what I do. This journey was made less daunting by the incredible female leaders who inspire me daily. They've taught me the power of authenticity in my work. One project I'm particularly proud of is the Black Box project, a book aimed at enhancing education about black people's history in Brazil. What have I learned along the way? That magic happens when I infuse a piece of myself into the work I create, whether by occupying spaces or championing causes I believe can make advertising better and more relevant. Speaking of making advertising better, it's now my commitment to ensure that more women and LGBTQIA individuals amplify their voices in this space and beyond.

Gabriel Ornelas, senior strategist, and Kevin Flores, associate creative director, TBWA\Chiat\Day New York: In this spirit, we’re steering away from the stereotypical events like ‘tacos and tequila’ to events that express the diversity of Latin and Caribbean cultures. Instead, we’re putting on events like ‘Cafecito y Pan Dulce,’ a ‘Coquito Masterclass’ and an ‘Ode to Latine Cinema.’ And to cap off the month, we’re hosting a mercadito featuring a range of local Latin and Caribbean business owners for a discussion on identity, work and culture. The Community Lee Maicon, ‪executive vice-president and chief strategy officer, The Community: "...With that moment of reflection in mind, we do still like to have some fun and celebrate a culture that is so connected to so many of our people. This year, we’re celebrating by sharing our family legacies. And by legacies, we mean recipes. We’re compiling a community recipe book with everything from Venezuelan Corn Cakes to Mexican Matzah Ball Soup. And Paletas. This year, with food as the central point, it could be something that we come together around. Of course, we’re doing other things, too, like panels and different types of events. But with food, we can share and enjoy those legacies in the year to come..." source: (https://bit.ly/3FuDRUV)

Looking to #RecruitIndigenousTalent? Connect with @NCAI for a start. 🌟 In Canada, don't miss @AboriginalProfessionals & @IndigenousProAssoc. Boost your efforts with @IndigenousWorks (Canada), @NativePeoplesRecruit & @Nativehire_org (USA). 🌐 It is important for Indigenous people to see other people who look like them at a company, so they can imagine working there. When you recruit Indigenous people and make them feel like they truly belong, it opens the door for others. By creating legitimate pathways for Indigenous youth to be able to excel and reach financial freedom with rewarding careers, they in turn act as role models for future generations and ultimately, real change can occur.#InclusionMatters #IndigenousSuccess

On August 9th, we honor the International Day of the World's Indigenous People. As we celebrate the rich diversity of Indigenous cultures worldwide, let's be the agents of change and create a nurturing, all-embracing atmosphere within our organizations, ensuring our Native American/Indigenous colleagues feel valued and included. Embracing inclusion starts with action, and one powerful step is connecting with organizations like the National Congress of American Indians for a talent pool of Indigenous professionals. In Canada, explore opportunities through the Aboriginal Professional Association of Canada and the Indigenous Professional Association of Canada. #IndigenousDay #InclusionMatters #DiverseVoices #GlobalUnity #EmpowerIndigenous #CulturalHeritage #InclusiveWorkplace #TalentDiversity #UnitedForChange #CelebrateCulture VC: IWGIAtube
