Every July, we honor the rich legacy of our military personnel and veterans. We’ll be sharing stories of ADUSA service members throughout the month - highlighting our veterans, active-duty military and military families. We encourage you to also show support - shopping veteran-owned products, volunteering with veteran organizations, or simply reaching out to thank a veteran in your life.

As we wrap up Pride Month, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate all our amazing Ahold Delhaize USA associates who volunteered or celebrated at Pride Festivals, like the one in Salisbury, N.C., June 22. The event featured a parade and was packed with vendors, music, and performances, while offering a safe environment for everyone to be themselves. Our associates celebrated with attendees and displayed ADUSA's support of the LGBTQIA community, while sharing information about the company and providing fun giveaways. #AholdDelhaizeUSA #PrideMonth

During a kickoff event earlier this month, ADUSA launched GitHub Copilot, a generative AI tool from Microsoft designed to help developers write code faster and with improved security and quality. Early adopters shared success stories and information on access to this revolutionary developer tool.   "I'm looking forward to continuing the success we've seen from the pilot phase, where we've already learned about really exciting use cases, whether it's code completion, new code generation, test coverage, housekeeping or generating documentation," said Amit Shah, Digital CTO. “By integrating Generative AI into our software development processes, our developers can boost productivity and accelerate customer innovation for the U.S. brands.” #AholdDelhaizeUSA #IT #AISolutions

Congratulations to the ADUSA data and analytics teams who received the Data Intelligence Award from Databricks in recognition of their exceptional work in data analytics and artificial intelligence. The annual Databricks Data Team Awards showcase how different data teams from across the globe are delivering solutions to some of the world's most challenging problems. Linda Zimmerman, Director, Data Analytics Engineering, and Laura Price, Director of Supply Chain Data and Analytics, ADUSA Procurement, accepted the award last week. “This award celebrates and showcases the achievements of our team's efforts to build an environment that meets the data goals of our business from data exploration, reporting and analytics, artificial intelligence and more,” Linda said. “It’s also a tribute to the partnership we have with the Data and Analytics Product teams. Close collaboration ensures everyone is focused on business value, and this is a testament to the amazing things that can be accomplished when we work together." Only eight winners were selected from more than 200 nominations.
