It's been an exciting couple of days at our annual partners meeting in Jaipur, India 🇮🇳 focusing and reflecting on #agency. In Jaipur, India 🇮🇳 today, we've kicked off our week-long Agency for All consortium partners meeting! We're excited to be connecting in person over the next few days to: 1️⃣ Build capacity of consortium partners in key technical areas and consortium activities 2️⃣ Reflect on formative research results and advance our conceptualizations of agency 3️⃣ Develop a project-wide pathway for agency-centered social and behavior change interventions and consider their scalability 4️⃣ Continue to build partner relationships, identifying areas for improvement and actions to uphold project values 5️⃣ Take stock of progress, identify course corrections and agree on consortium-wide directions for the next year, including work planning Thanks to the entire Agency for All consortium for making the time to come together and plan for the next stages of our work together on #agency to... Collaboration and #networking are crucial for making a lasting #impact. At #Sambodhi, we understand this and never miss a chance to engage with change agents to highlight how our work drives #change.   One such initiative in this direction was our participation in the 44th Sunbelt Conference 2024, where our colleague Shikha Rana presented our work on 'Navigating Networks of Care—Social Network Insights into the Development of an Intervention on Respectful Maternity Care.'   This formative #research study explored the role of social norms in maternity care, offering #insights into how social behavior change practices can improve women's experience during #childbirth.   We look forward to more #opportunities to #collaborate and share our #findings on critical issues. 🚨Retrouvons-nous demain à l'atelier de dissémination des résultats de la 1ère phase du projet Agency for All Project sur l'Acceptabilité Contraceptive et l'Infertilité au Cameroun. ................................................................................. 🚨Let's meet tomorrow at the dissemination workshop of Agency for All Project 1st phase results on Contraceptive Acceptability and Infertility in Cameroon.

Translation: “Do not let your hands be open to receive and closed to give.” (Wolof/English—Senegalese proverb) As part of the "Capacity Strengthening of Local Research Institutions to Accelerate the Partenariat de Ouagadougou Research Agenda" activity, Agency for All Project consortium partners EVIHDAF, Center on Gender Equity and Health at UC San Diego, Makerere University, Sambodhi Research and Communications Pvt. Ltd., and USAID were in Dakar, #Senegal last week, convening a five-day training on research-related financial management, grant management, and resource mobilization. This interactive training brought together a diverse group of participants from 10 research institutions from within the West African Francophone Region who exchanged insights and shared their experiences in planning and budgeting research activities. At the end of the training, the institutions were able to: 🔸 Understand the funding cycle and procedures of major research donors in the field of sexual and reproductive health (#SRH) and #familyplanning (FP), including grant preparation, submission, evaluation, and management. 🔸 Understand the principles, procedures, and tools of financial administrative grant management. 🔸 Identify and mobilize financial resources to support SRH/FP research activities, using resource mobilization strategies tailored to the specific needs of their institutions. 🔸 Develop competitive funding proposals, considering donor priorities and the requirements of calls for proposals. 🔸 Develop concrete action plans to implement the knowledge acquired in their day-to-day work at their research institutions.
