Another great CalNEXT project in the works! Check out the post here from our ASK Energy, Inc. teammates, and let M M Valmiki know if you have a site that could benefit from this project.
ASK Energy, Inc., Ecotope, Inc., and AESC, Inc. are kicking off a CalNEXT research project to advance the development of an innovative, packaged, plug-and-play commercial CO2 #heatpump for simultaneous hydronic cooling, heating, and domestic hot water. We are partnering with Flow Environmental Systems to help bring their ultra-low-GWP multifunction heat pump product to market, filling an important gap in current technology needed to #efficiently and cost-effectively #decarbonize non-residential and multifamily buildings. If you know of a potentially suitable site in #California that could participate at no cost in our design, modeling, and field demonstration study, please reach out to M M Valmiki! 💡The characteristics of ideal sites are: 🔷 Buildings with existing gas-fired hydronic heating and chilled water cooling with equipment nearing end-of-life 🔷 Small to medium commercial or multifamily buildings (20,000-50,000 square feet) 🔷 Serving disadvantaged communities 🔷 Simple buildings that represent common conditions repeatable at other sites (offices, hotels, healthcare, education, multifamily, etc.) 🔷 Buildings with substantial domestic hot water loads 🔷 Buildings with owners committed to energy efficiency and #decarbonization 🔷 Buildings must be located in #California
