About us
Aero-Flite is one of the most experienced aerial firefighting companies in the US, delivering an extensive range of next-generation fire control aircraft and services to a variety of national customers. We continually strive to maintain our family values, core operating principals, and quality of service to our land management partners. Our dedication to service excellence makes us an industry leader. We have over 60 years of fire management experience in aerial forest fire fighting, employing more than 170 skilled individuals with a fleet of over a dozen aircraft. Aero-Flite has grown from flying converted military planes to operating modern, purpose-built and engineered firefighting aircraft. Our RJ85s land based tankers have proven to be an efficient, fast, and reliable retardant delivery aircraft. Our CL-415s are capable of reloading from many water sources, delivering a large volume of water in a short period of time. And our new Dash 8-400AT airtankers are the most modern in the world, capable of delivering 2,642 gallons of retardant in one drop out of bases with 5,000' runways, located closer to where fires occur. These specialty aircraft were chosen specifically for their firefighting capability in support of wildland fire management and ground fire-fighters. OUR VISION We are guided by the following principals: • Safety – refining our practices, supporting each other • Service – exceeding customer expectations • Integrity – committing to transparency and accountability • Innovation – striving to improve safety, service and value Individually and collectively we are accountable for our performance, the delivery of our commitments, and the results delivered to our customers.

Great shots of one of our three Q400 airtankers! As our fleet of Dash 8-400AT (Q400) grows, tanker base visits across the US will expand, as this large Type II airtanker can respond out of a large number of bases, including those with shorter runways & at higher elevations. “A Q400-AT making a rare visit to Fox Airtanker Base during the #whitefire and #ranchofire Haven’t seen one of these since Conair Aerial Firefighting had T540 here.” Aaron Maurer - https://lnkd.in/g7BsEyZ6 #aerialfirefighting #airtanker #wildfire #dash8

Stunning scooper sunset shot coming into Wenatchee! Conditions are challenging during aerial firefighting operations - in the evening, crews rest after a day of responding while aircraft are maintained, sometimes late into the night. “I had the opportunity to tour Scoopers 261 & 263 while they work out of Boise. They arrived in Boise from Santa Maria, CA on July 12th to work the 1,300 acre Bench Lake Fire near Stanley, and this afternoon were assigned to the 1,500 acre Twin Springs Fire near Owyhee Lake in Eastern OR.” Mike Griffin Our crew responds where needed, supporting firefighters, sometimes flying state-to-state-to-state…aircraft mechanics travel with our aircraft providing maintenance on base between missions. A nomadic life during fire seasons, providing emergency response! #aerialfirefighting #airtanker #wildfires
