At the Aero Club's June 17th Luncheon, the National Aeronautic Association announced that the 2024 #WrightTrophy will be awarded to former Spirit Airlines President & CEO, Ben Baldanza! 🏆 Baldanza, who has nearly four decades of experience in the airline industry, is considered a leading visionary for introducing the ultra-low-cost model to the United States, which expanded air travel access to millions of Americans. The Aero Club mourns the passing of Colleen Barrett, President Emeritus of Southwest Airlines and 2016 National Aeronautic Association Wright Trophy recipient. Often referred to as the "Queen of Hearts", Barrett was a servant leader who encouraged Southwest employees to always follow the Golden Rule. She is credited as the architect of the company's famous corporate culture and lived her life as an example for all to follow. ❤️💙🧡
