Get to know Monica, one of our incredible Vesta House nurses! "I have been a nurse for 15 years. I have worked in pediatrics, postpartum, and NICU. As a NICU nurse, I was present when babies took their first breath, and it has been fulfilling for me to now be present as patients take their final breaths. My mother suffered from aphasia and Alzheimer's. At the Vesta House, I get to work with numerous patients who have these heartbreaking diseases. I love caring for even the difficult dementia patients because it makes me feel closer to her." #MyAegis #AegisFamily
