Do the Futures of Esports and the Olympics Go Hand-in-Hand? 🎮 🕹 As we enter the second week of the 2024 Olympic Games, what is often discussed is whether those who participate in video games deserve a shot at competing. Yes, there may be differences in training and physical demand for traditional versus esports games, but we cannot deny both kinds of sports represent a great deal of accomplishment and time. We are seeing great momentum for this potential inclusion. For example, the International Olympic Committee – IOC is planning to partner with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia for the first official Olympic Esports Games. So LBBonline - Little Black Book asked the big question: what will this look like in terms of the audiences to advertise to, and therefore, what are the implications for marketers?
