Today, the State Water Resources Control Board adopted the Making Conservation a California Way of Life regulation. This builds on water suppliers’ decades of leadership in advancing water use efficiency with the purpose of adapting to more intense and frequent droughts in California. We appreciate the board's engagement with ACWA and the water community to develop a more feasible and cost-effective regulation. This regulation will fundamentally change the way that water is used in California and will require bold new investments, partnerships, and action.
