We really enjoyed taking in the back-to-school vibes recently with Principal Ed Collins and Assistant Principal Daisy Lopez over at Chicago’s Burbank Elementary School! Not only that, but we were really loving this awesome student mural that’s on display. Have a fantastic year, Burbank community! 💙

Here at Accelerate Institute, we believe people are our schools’ greatest resource. That’s why our professional development programming is centered around one singular goal: promoting strong school leader retention by developing and supporting the best possible people for the job. In the recent PDK Poll on Public Attitudes Toward Public Education, the results helped illustrate the American public’s priorities are very much the same when it comes to education. Although we’re far too often divided on many of the most important issues, for education, “attracting and retaining good teachers” was a top priority from respondents. According to the poll, more than 80% of Americans named this goal — as well as getting students ready to enter the workforce — as top priorities for the next presidential administration following the November election.
