One of the more fun aspects of my job is getting to think creatively about how to add value and create new opportunities at an asset. The Container Store's grand opening this month at 555 9th Street in San Francisco was an example of that, and marks a milestone in Acadia’s redevelopment of the shopping center. For decades the second level of this center was underutilized as ancillary sales space for a 70K sq ft Bed Bath and Beyond, and its parking sat idle with no pedestrian access to shopping. But the Container Store’s new space showcases the future of this center – a level of open-air retail sitting directly above a Trader Joe’s anchored street level. 555 9th Street offers San Francisco retailers an exciting alternative to downtown, with a strategic location at the intersection of I80 and Rt 101, with highway visibility, ample parking, off street loading, security and an exemption from formula retail restrictions. Additional anchor and shop space available for lease – don’t miss out! Robert D. (Bob) Higgins A.J. Levine Thad Logan

"Home is where the heart is," and Brooklyn Made intends to leave a little piece of Brooklyn in everyone's heart! This past Friday, City Point and Brooklyn celebrated the highly anticipated opening of the Brooklyn Made Store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning, followed by a “GO Party” later in the evening to honor the local Brooklyn artisans who made everything possible. Brooklyn Made boasts an array of products from local businesses as well as unique international products from a few other countries, all of which truly give Brooklyn its “essence.” Amongst the vendors, Anjali Bhargave spoke briefly at the opening: “It’s really the perfect store to bring someone visiting Brooklyn for the first time to truly take home the best of Brooklyn.” #CityPoint #Brooklyn #BrooklynMade

Our 2024 Intern class took part in the New York Nareit Conference to kick off REITweek and gain a better understanding of the industry with nearly 100 REIT management teams presenting throughout the conference, including our own Ken Bernstein. Hear more about it below with remarks from one of our returning interns. “Having the opportunity to return for a second year to experience NAREIT has given me the ability to better understand the multifaceted elements that go into building a successful REIT. Whether it was discussing how real estate will adapt alongside an omni-channel world or learning how different REITs are each individually unique in such a saturated market, I truly feel as though I have been able to immerse myself in the industry and further my knowledge as a curious intern. Thank you, Acadia!”                                                                    ~Mackenzie Teper          Marketing Intern ’23, ‘24

Senior Vice President - Head of Leasing & Development at Acadia Realty Trust

The best things in life are worth waiting for… Acadia Realty Trust is more than excited to welcome chef Mark Forgione and the rest of the team at Apres Cru to 30 Hudson Street in Tribeca. Relocating an iconic restaurant and neighbor staple since 2008 is no easy feat, but the juice is without a doubt worth the squeeze. Congratulations to all involved on another successful opening! https://lnkd.in/eMstDgrf
