THROWBACK THURSDAY...... To 2015 when we were awarded the contract for the KC-46A Pegasus Refueling Boom Hardware. We have proudly supported Boeing on the KC-46A Pegasus which has offloaded more than 100 million pounds of fuel by utilizing its advanced fly-by-wire boom to ensure efficient refueling operations across the globe. We are honored to contribute to the success of the KC-46A Pegasus program and continued collaboration with Boeing. We have proudly supported the US Army’s Lower Tier and Missile Defense System (LTAMDS) building radomes for this crucial program since its inception in 2018 and continuing into the future. We are thrilled to witness the successful demonstration at Valiant Shield 24! #LTAMDS #MissileDefense"
At Valiant Shield 24, a simulated complex missile engagement demonstrated the U.S. Army's Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Senor (LTAMDS) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS), launching the U.S. Navy’s premier, long-range effector, Standard Missile-6 (SM-6). “The successful test confirms a viable option for INDOPACOM by demonstrating SM-6 integrated with IBCS and LTAMDS,” said Tom Laliberty, president of Land & Air Defense Systems at Raytheon. “LTAMDS matched with SM-6 adds an exceptional capability to defeat increasingly diverse and complex threats with a multi-mission missile that flies as far as the radar can see – providing for long range Army and Joint integrated air and missile defense.” Learn more: https://rtxcorp.co/46cKnMq

Have you heard? At AASC, we're proud to offer an on-site Clean and Prime Center. As an approved processor for primes like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin we're well-positioned to support a wide range of projects. Having these processes internally reduces project timelines, eliminates outsourcing, and ensures faster turnaround times with greater control, giving you peace of mind that your parts are processed with precision and care. Our Cleaning Center is equipped with nine tanks (4x18 ft) used for PAA (Phosphoric Acid Anodizing) and FPL (Fluorine Plasma Laminate) processes and our Prime Line is capable of spraying both solvent and water-based primers. These essential metal bond preparation services are critical for military and commercial parts. #AASC #Aerospace #Manufacturing #Efficiency #InHouseProcessing #PhosphoricAcidAnodizing

Breathtaking photos from the James Webb Space Telescope. #JWST #NASA #SpaceExploration
Two years ago today, the Northrop Grumman-built NASA James Webb Space Telescope beamed back its first images to Earth. Today, it brings us a new portrait of Penguin and the Egg. Jointly known as Arp 142, the two galaxies made their first pass by one another between 25 million and 75 million years ago and are estimated to be about 100,000 light-years apart. Although a similar fate awaits our own Milky Way, our close call with the Andromeda Galaxy won’t come to pass for about another 4 billion years. Congratulations Webb! We look forward to many more years of science to come! 🌌 🔭 cc: NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration #JWST #NASA

THROWBACK THURSDAY.... To July 11, 1997 (that’s 27 years for those of you who can’t math). This news article highlighted our role in correcting the Hubble Space Telescope's vision after an optics design flaw was discovered on orbit. BAE Systems contracted us to manufacture the Optic Enclosure Structure for the COSTAR (Corrective Optics Space Telescope Axial Replacement). The COSTAR system acted like glasses for the telescope by correcting the primary mirror’s optics and fixing the telescope’s vision. In the photo below, you can see the aluminum honeycomb metal bonded panels, which housed the COSTAR's corrected optics. The panels were manufactured at our Stockton facility by skilled technicians, including Ricky Aspurias who has worked here since 1981 – now that’s a real throwback! #AASC #Aerospace #ThrowbackThursday #HubbleSpaceTelescope #NASA

THROWBACK THURSDAY…. It's been over two decades since we were awarded the contract for the U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye Radome back in 2000. The Navy has since transitioned to the E-2D Hawkeye, and we're honored to be the sole manufacturer of this Radome structure. Our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction has enabled us to solidify our position as a leader in the aerospace industry. We're proud to continue supporting our military personnel, whose bravery and selflessness help protect our freedom and way of life.
