American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) reposted this
“Brands and retailers will be dependent, more than ever before, on talented supply chain partners to help get compliance right.” Here's our latest guest #blog from Steve Lamar American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), looking at the "profound opportunities" for new collaboration across the supply chain that are presented by an increasingly #regulatory #regime for #apparel #footwear #garment #brands and #retailers, and the ways in which a new regulatory construct "supports, benefits, and even requires stronger supply chain partnerships." There's a word of caution, though - brands and retailers will only succeed in this new regulatory regime if they cultivate strong and healthy supply chain partners. (Luckily, there's still time to onboard for the Better Buying Fall ratings cycle, The Better Buying Partnership Index, which is all about getting a sense check of the #quality of your #supplier #partnerships, and finding out which purchasing practices you need to focus on in order to be rated a True Partner to your #suppliers.) Happy reading!! https://lnkd.in/efd7Ecq8
